The internal oil thermostat will restrict flow to the heat exchanger until the activation Temperature is reached; this provides improved warm-up while maintaining efficient cooling properties. Thanks to a small footprint and rear-mounted thermostat, this sandwich plate can be installed in even the tightest engine bays where the exhaust or other engine components create strict space constraints.
