Description

The REDARC Smart Start battery isolator used to isolate the start and auxiliary batteries in dual battery systems. It is designed to protect the start battery from excessive discharge in a dual battery system. The Battery Isolator provides 24 Volt DC incorporating 200 Ampere of continuous ratings. The 200 Ampere battery isolator is designed for heavy-duty operations. The dual sensing model allows charging both ways where the auxiliary battery may also be charged by an external source such as Solar panels or an external AC battery charger. The Battery Isolator will allow the start battery to be topped up and charged by the auxiliary battery when the auxiliary battery reaches 26.4 Volts when it’s being charged by the external source. The Smart Start Battery Isolator is a microprocessor controlled battery isolator and incorporates electronic components that prevent the solenoid from generating high voltage transients. It is better than a diode battery isolator due to the voltage drop associated with diode type isolation.
